5 WAYS TO FALL ASLEEP
- Have the same sleep routine every night
- Have a technology curfew. Turn off the TV/Computer/iPad/video games at least 30 minutes before bed.
- Brush, floss, wash your face, comb your hair – feel fresh for bed.
- Tell everyone in your family “I love you” before bed. Give everyone a hug.
- No bright lights in your bedroom at bedtime.
- Read quietly for 10-15 minutes.
- Meditate – a few minutes of meditation with your parent can really help.
- Zen breathing – take a deep breath in through the nose, then let is slowly out through the mouth while imagining the whole body sinking deep into your bed. Repeat this 5 times, sinking deeper each time.
